New, Free App Connects Veterans with
work opportunities

Follow

Next Minute, Inc. has released HireVet on Google Play store with iOS version to follow.
Pipe broken, electrical problem, grass is up to your knees or maybe you just need a ride or a delivery. With the recently released hirevet you can get immediate assistance from a Veteran to solve a host of problems or personal needs.

Developed by Next Minute, Inc. (www.nextminuteapp.com), hirevet now is available for free for Android and should be available for iPhone/iPad in a few weeks. The concept is to connect Veterans with customers in real time inside the same local area for immediate service calls. When a Veteran is available they turn on the "available" sign in the app and when a regular user opens the app and selects a service category they see who is available on the map. Users can then click on a Veteran to see a full profile including ratings and reviews from other users.

When a user clicks on a Veteran they can call, text or request with one click. If there is a request made a notice is sent to the Veteran who gets directions on their phone (and to a destination in the case of driving/pick-up/delivery type services) while the user can see the Veteran approaching on the map. When the service is completed, both parties are requested to rate and review the other for the benefit of other app users.

" We owe our Veterans a great debt and the least we can do is to help them find work, i.e. hire them for various services most of us need on a regular basis." "We also live in a society where many, if not most, desire immediate gratification and do not want to wait hours, days or weeks to get something done," said Rolv E. Heggenhougen, CEO of Next Minute Inc. "We want it now as 'now' is convenient to us, the customer.

An app from Next Minute Inc. caters to those who want service immediately, including connecting users to a range of service providers, such as dog walkers and pet sitters. Nextminuteapp, available for free from iTunes and the Google Play store, connects service providers with customers in real time inside the same local area for immediate service calls.

When a service provider is available, they turn on the “available” sign in the app, and when a regular user opens the app and selects a service category, they see who is available on the map of the local area. Users can then click on a service provider to see a full profile, including ratings and reviews from other users.

When a user clicks on a provider, they can call, text or request with one click.

“We live in a society where many, if not most, desire immediate gratification and do not want to wait hours, days or weeks to get something done,” said Rolv Heggenhougen, CEO of Next Minute App Inc., which has offices in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., San Francisco and Oslo, Norway. “We want it now as ‘now’ is convenient to us, the customer. Furthermore, there are professionals that have time between appointments and would like to make extra money; the unemployed that want to find work; and there are students/youth that want to find work when they have spare time.”
